Well the SP2 is back and I had my first outing at a rather wet Jurby on the new course with only dry tyres to hand!
I set pole in practice but made the difficult descision not to race following rain which left the curcuit "like riding on ice" (according to a fellow racer).
The bike however is something else - far better than i remember it. Roger (Revolution) had it on the dyno for the best part of a day fine tuning the map. She now produces a healthy 145BHP 10 BHP up on last year.
Got my number through for the Manx Grand Prix - finished 26th last year so I was expecting around 26 but no - 45! Not sure how that works but watch out!!!!!!
I am in talks with Dunlop at the moments to sort out some of the new all singing all dancing tyres - watch this space.

Picked the "new" 2006 CBR 600 up from Slingshot racing last week - what a piece of kit!
Ex Jamie Robinson BSB, full Tenkate spec - so it should go well.
Dropped it off with Roger Ditchfield (Revolution) for a full rebuild and check over ready for next season - cannot wait!
Check out the photos in the gallery.

Well it is a sad day but i have made the decission to break the good old SP2!!!
Roger (Revolution) and I have discussed various options and it has been decided that next year i will campaign a CBR600. This will give me two rides in the MGP and hopefully move me up the rankings.
All is not lost as I intend to build one hell of a road bike out of the bits!!! The sound of thunder will continue.

Well we got under way after a short delay.
Bike went well until the second lap when I went into Quarter Bridge a little hot shall we say - lost the front end, slid down the road - practice over!!!!
Believe it or not i have only had to replace the RHS foot rest and she is ready for the next practice (Monday). Stripper down yesterday to check for any oil leaks etc - nothing!
Apart from that the bike feels quick planted and is still a joy to ride more soon.............
TO VIEW THE CRASH PHOTOs HAVE ALOOK ON ANDREAS RACING FORUM - TIM DEVLIN AND DAVE HAS POSTED SOME PHOTOS! - CHEERS DAVE!
Well practice was a wash out and i only managed 5 laps in total!
Finished 26th (again) in what can only be described as tricky conditions! Very good run with Ian Whitlow swapping places all the way round - but i managed to get by him in the end!
