MGP 2011 was mixed! Weather did not play ball leaving practice a little short.
The Junior race this year was run on a Monday with wet/damp roads. The Dunlop D211 worked well considering the conditions and I got the bike home in 30th place and gaining a silver replica to boot!
The Senior on Friday morning was run on a drying track. The bike performed flawlessly and I came home in 23rd place and again another silver replica!!!
Many thanks to all those who make the event possible!
Big thank you to - Bev, Roger (Revolution), Celtic leathers, Putoline, Isle of Man Honda, Blacklaw Garage, Kev, Kim, Sign and Design, Phinik (Mike and Peter), Steve (Big Baz) and Fusion Solutions.

It's the first outting for Team IOM Honda tomorrow!!!
Got a lot of work to do and then some track time to set up the bike after Roger (Revolution UK) has re-freshed and re-built the suspension on the Steelie (CBR600fw 1998).

I am now the Sales Manager at Isle of Man Honda! So it goes without saying that the team are helping me out. New colour scheme (red and black). Still running the CBR600rr6 after its lengthy rebuild and new donor engine. Left in the very cabable hands of Roger Ditchfield - and a big thanks to Chris Mayhew for help out.
Testing will commence as soon as the weather allows with the first race meeting in March.
Oh well all the very best for Christams and have a good New Year!
TTFN.

Well that is the season over!!! Competed in the 4 hours endurance at Jurby on the Manx Glass and Glazing R6 and team and we finished a respectable 9th overall.
News just in - the RR will be sorted! Need new cases, valves, rods and pistons - then she's ready to rock and roll.

Well that's the MGP with over for another year. I started off struggling with the set up, just got it sorted and a conrod decided to say hello through the front of the engine! Not sure what has caused it but I know a man that can (Roger @ Revolution).
Big apology to all my sponsors but will make up for it next year - promise.:D

Well Saturday night practice was not the best, battery failed, clutch was slipping and only managed one lap!
Monday night was much better! New spacers in the clutch, battery sorted! The only downside was 80% of the track was wet and on dry tyres proved at times interesting to say the least. Anyway the important thing is that the bike feels good the engine is mega (big thanks to Roger Ditchfield at Revolution) and the new leathers (cheers Sam Celtic) and lid (Arai) feel great! All we need now is some good weather.........

Went out in the first practice but had to stop as the bike was running too cool!
Taped up the rad and off out in the second practice - bike not handling too well so straight on the phone to Roger (Revolution) and with adjustments made out in the first race! Bike handling better but not 100% so more adjustments and out in the 600 race. Still not right but managed my fastest every lap!! The meeting was then cancelled due to an oil spill! Next outing - the Manx Grand Prix.

The Margal Revolution Honda is all set for Jurby Road this Saturday.
Bit of spit and polish and she is all set to go!
Got my number in the MGP - 31 - good place to start.
Big thanks for Simon at Margal for sending me a set of matching Dainese leathers - now i will have to do the whole package justice.
TTFN.
